The Master of Arts with a Major in Clinical Mental Health Counseling program will help to prepare scholar-practitioners who will be effective health service provider and leaders in their organizations and communities. The program offers three residencies per year, one per term, and updated and advanced courses in a variety of important areas of study and training competence.
The program is recognized by the National Board for Certified Counselors and the Council of Applied Master's Programs in Psychology as meeting criteria for training, certification, and examination requirements. Many students elect to take the National Counselor Examination (NCE) following completion of the program. UI&U is an approved examination site for the NCE.Get Started!
